Flavours and fillings

All our cakes are freshly baked to order and we use high quality, locally sourced ingredients if we can.  We endeavour to only use natural flavourings and avoid synthetics wherever possible. Homemade jam may be available depending on the season. There are so many flavour combinations, the list is endless but to give you an idea we have combined some of our own favourites –  if you hve something special in mind please ask. If you are having a number of tiers, you can experiment with some fun flavours and still have a tier of traditional fruitcake or a simple Victoria sponge.

  • Madagascan vanilla bean sponge with champagne buttercream / vanilla buttercream and strawberry or raspberry jam
  • Chocolate mocha sponge with a chocolate buttercream / ganache / almond  / and homemade sloe gin jam or black cherry compot
  • Italian lemon sponge drizzled with limoncello / lemon buttercream /elderflower / white chocolate and lemon or orange curd
  • Zesty orange sponge with an orange and cardamom buttercream / cranberry and blood orange buttercream and passion fruit curd
  • Fresh Raspberry sponge with a white chocolate buttercream filling and raspberry compote
  • Spiced carrot cake with cream cheese / orange and cinnamon buttercream
  • Lavender sponge with organic lavender / honey buttercream / white chocolate buttercream
  • Coconut sponge with spiced rum buttercream / vanilla buttercream / raspberry jam
  • Cappuccino coffee sponge with espresso martini buttercream / nutella buttercream / almond / chocolate ganache
  • Ginger sponge with salted caramel buttercream / mixed spice & orange zest buttercream, rhubarb and  ginger jam
  • Sticky toffee cake with dulce con leche
  • Traditional brandy soaked fruitcake with homemade orange marzipan
